GYROKINESIS® Cardiovascular Breathing Course - Prog.1

  • Prerequisite: Licensed GYROTONIC or GYROKINESIS trainer

The Gyrokinesis Cardiovascular Breathing Program, developed by Juliu Horvath, offers a path to respiratory health in uniquely designed progressions that allows each person to stay in the individual comfort zone while expanding the functional range with a sense of ease.

All circulatory systems of the human body are stimulated systematically, leading to an increase in the flow of blood, nutrients, oxygen and other gases, and as well as hormones to and from cells.

In the progression one course, the students learn the fundamentals of the movement and breathing patterns.

Length of the class format: between 45 to 60 minutes.

*Upon completion of the course, trainers who don't already have a Gyrokinesis trademark license (only a Gyrotonic license) will be required to purchase  and sign a Specialized Gyrokinesis Trademark License Agreement.

GYROTONIC® Applications for Breast Cancer

  • Prerequisite: Licensed GYROTONIC trainer

This course will provide Gyrotonic Trainers a basic  theoretical understanding of breast cancer and some practical tools to work with clients who are living with a breast cancer diagnosis.

The theoretical understanding of Breast Cancer will include information about its origins, prevention, risk factors, anatomy, types of treatments and their consequences. 

In the practical part of the course, Trainers will learn 4 customizable exercise progressions that will empower them to better serve their clients/patients. They will learn  Gyrokinesis homework sequences designed specifically for this population, and  they will learn 4 new programs on the pulley tower. Those four programs will build upon each other, but they can also be presented independently, depending on the needs of each client.

About GYROTONIC® teacher training process

Who is it for?

  • Those who want to become a certified Gyrotonic Instructor

  • Gyrotonic students who want to buy their own tower for home practice (see below)

  • Gyrotonic students who want to explore more intensive training, and learn more than they can in 1hr a week.

Where can I do my teacher training?

As a licensed Gyrotonic Pre-Trainer I can provide Gyrotonic Pre-training courses at my studio in Birmingham. You will need to have done a minimum of 10hrs private training depending on your experience. Pre-training courses can be arranged by request or by joining a scheduled course. Please email me if you are interested in a Pre-Training Course.

If you are not quite ready for a pre-training or unable to get to regular classes you can request an intensive 3 day Gyrotonic preparation course with me.

The courses that follow the pre-training must be done with a Gyrotonic Master Trainer and I can help you find a suitable one.

What is involved?

The full Gyrotonic level 1 teacher training consists of 195 hour program (4 sequential courses + apprentice teaching hours)

  • 3 months to become a Gyrotonic Apprentice Trainer

  • 1 year to become a Licensed Gyrotonic Trainer

*Gyrotonic prep course - £540 - 3 days - this course is for those who do not have access to any regular Gyrotonic training. If you have done at least 10hrs of private training and your teachers says you are ready you do not need to complete this.

1. Pre-training course - €1050* (I have a maximum of 4 people on this course)

6 days (30hrs). This can be 6 consecutive days 2 x 3 day weekends or 3 x 2 day weekends.

This course is also suitable for people who don’t plan to teach or continue with the rest of the training, but want to take a deep dive into the method and learn how to use a Gyrotonic Tower. At approx £30p/hr it also represents excellent value for money! After this course you are eligible to buy your own Gyrotonic tower.

2. Foundation course - €2100*

12 days (60hrs). This course must be done with a certified Master Trainer and I can help you find a suitable trainer and course. You should complete this course not more than 3 months after your pre-training (extensions are at the discretion of HQ). After this you have an Apprentice license valid for 1 year and can now begin your 60hrs of apprentice teaching hours.

3. Apprentice Review - €1050*

This is either in the form of a six day Gyrotonic Apprenticeship Course with your Master Trainer or by re-taking the Gyrotonic Foundation Course, cost will depend on where/how you complete this.

4. Final Certificate - €525*

There must be a minimum of 6 months between your foundation course and final certificate. This course is done with a Specialised Master Trainer and may need to take place abroad.

N.B. All courses will also incur a studio fee payable to the studio hosting the course and will vary between £30-£50 a day
