Who is it for?
Those who want to become a certified Gyrotonic Instructor
Gyrotonic students who want to buy their own tower for home practice (see below)
Gyrotonic students who want to explore more intensive training, and learn more than they can in 1hr a week.
Where can I train?
As a licensed Gyrotonic Pre Trainer I can provide Gyrotonic Pre-training courses at my studio in Birmingham. You will need to have done a minimum of 10hrs private training depending on your experience. Pre-training courses can be arranged by request or by joining a scheduled course. Please email me if you are interested in a Pre-Training Course.
If you are not quite ready for a pre-training or unable to get to regular classes you can request an intensive 3 day preparation course.
The courses that follow the pre-training must be done with a Gyrotonic Master Trainer and I can help you find a suitable one.
What is involved?
The full Gyrotonic teacher training certificate involves :
Pre-training course - €1050* (At The Art of Movement Studio - maximum 4 people on a course)
6 days (30hrs). This can be 6 consecutive days 2 x 3 day weekends or 3 x 2 day weekends.
This course is also suitable for people who don’t plan to teach or continue with the rest of the training, but want to take a deep dive into the method and learn how to use a Gyrotonic Tower. At approx £30p/hr it also represents excellent value for money! After this course you are eligible to buy your own Gyrotonic tower.
Foundation course - €2100*
12 days (60hrs). This course must be done with a certified Master Trainer and I can help you find a suitable trainer and course. You should complete this course not more than 3 months after your pre-training (extensions are at the discretion of HQ). After this you have an Apprentice license valid for 1 year and can now begin your 60hrs of apprentice teaching hours.
Apprentice Review - €1050*
This is either in the form of a six day Gyrotonic Apprenticeship Course with your Master Trainer or by re-taking the Gyrotonic Foundation Course, cost will depend on where/how you complete this.
Final Certificate - €525*
There must be a minimum of 6 months between your foundation course and final certificate. This course is done with a Specialised Master Trainer and may need to take place abroad.
*Prices are in Euros & will be converted at the time. All courses may also incur a studio fee to cover the costs to the host studio and this is at the discretion of the studio.
