Gyrokinesis method is the group class version of The Gyrotonic Expansion System. Classes are in small groups using only stools and mats and will work the entire body, opening energy pathways, stimulating the nervous system, strengthening the core and increasing mobility.
Gyrokinesis method could be described as yoga with added dance and in fact evolved from what was originally called 'Yoga for Dancers'. It offers the benefits of pilates, body conditioning & yoga but with a more flowing, interconnected approach.
Gyrokinesis class is suitable for all abilities including the elderly, but those recovering from an injury or surgery would be better off having a 1-1 Gyrotonic session in order to get personalised exercises.
